The Sweet Oblivion Blog

I’m a full-time journalist and broadcaster (a fancy way of saying I do radio slots and have a radio show).

In my spare time I write this blog, write for State.ie, do other bits and bobs for publications off and online, buy more books than I read, bake, cook, make things/collage things when the urge strikes me, talk, go to gigs, DJ,  collect records, live in Dublin with my equally music-obsessed boyfriend (and his black metal collection!) and take regular trips home to Cork.

And, in an exciting new development, I now present Sweet Oblivion on RTE 2XM, every Thursday at 5pm. It’s available on digital radio, online and on Chorus NTL channel 944.  You’ll find all my playlists on this blog.

I also run the Adventures in Veg food blog, and write an accompanying column for the Irish Independent‘s ‘Weekend’ magazine.

This is my music blog - it features interviews that I have done, reviews of gigs I have gone to, previews of gigs, bits of random music news, and (my favourite bit) discussions on musical topics. Have a look through the archives to see what I’ve written about in the past and please don’t be afraid to comment – I love getting feedback of any kind! (However please note that I can’t post about every band that I am emailed about.)
